LONDON FIT-OUT 2016
Mergers & acquisitions, reducing office stock, increasing tender levels, new ways of co-working and a rapidly reducing supplier base. Is the London fit-out market entering strange times – A Perfect Storm?
Date : Thursday, 7th April 2016
A half day morning conference in the recently completed conference suite of the lawyers, Fieldfisher, including breakfast, morning coffee and lunch.
@ Fieldfisher, Riverbank House, 2 Swan Lane, London EC4R 3TT.
The London Fit-Out sector is experiencing a fundamental change as a ‘perfect storm’ of events explodes around the market place and shifts it into new waters.
This structural shift can be attributed to a rapidly declining availability of A grade office space, historic levels of lease ‘events’/breaks creating high levels of occupier demand, a chronic lack of construction industry resource and finally, an increasing expectation from ‘clients’ who look for a joined up approach to the fit-out process.
Maybe it is time to take stock and to quantify what these changes mean to the sector, with half an eye on the past but always aware that the future is never far away. This is the basis of this exciting new conference which will be held at the prestigious and recently completed offices of City of London lawyers, FieldFisher.
This is an excellent opportunity for occupiers, developers, project managers, contractors and suppliers to hear about the latest trends and be informed about this exciting market.

Using the recently completed offices for the lawyers Fieldfisher as a case study, this session will review how the legal sector is using space differently and what shape professional service fit-outs will take in the future? Dovetail with this an increasing trend for the ‘nearshoring’ or ‘ north shoring of their back offices in non-London locations – is the bedrock of the London fit-out market now under threat – are we now in a new period of decline of demand by the professional sector for new space and finally, are we going to experience the adoption of open plan spaces as costs soar?
