Permission has been granted to replace an ageing commercial building in Slough with 50 flats.

In a delegated decision Slough Borough Council has approved plans by Omega 10 to demolish 50-plus year old one-time, furniture showroom and once-time car showroom, known as Grace House in Petersfield Avenue, and replace it with a block of 50 flats, which will also be known as Grace House.

The site is next to BMW House (to the left in the image above) where another showroom was replaced with flats. Permission has also been granted for another block, called Thomas House on the other side of BMW House.

Five-storey Grace House will have 47 parking spaces at the rear.

Architect on the scheme is Danks Badnell, transport consultant is Peter Evans Partnership and landscaping was by Goodger Design Associates.
