Savills Chelmsford has recently made some new appointments and promotions within its development team
Simon Kibblewhite, who has a long history with the company and over 35 years in the residential development sector, is back as Director. He previously helped grow the Chelmsford office and its services significantly, including introducing the new homes and planning teams
After leaving he joined Strutt & Parker, where he became a board member and equity partner, subsequently joining the new board of BNP Paribas Real Estate UK after the merger of the two firms, responsible for leading the combined national development and planning teams.
Throughout his career Simon has specialised in advising landowner and developer clients on the acquisition and sale of major sites by way of outright sales, options, promotion agreements and joint ventures.
Speaking upon his return, Simon said, “I’m delighted to be back in Chelmsford, where I had 16 happy and successful years. Essex is a county I know very well having lived here for most of my life. It feels like a natural step to come back and I’m looking forward to helping the office drive future growth.”
Rebecca Kirwan, also returning to Savills after working at Project Etopia and taking time off to start a family, is a new Associate Director.
Rebecca said “I’m very excited to be back at Savills and to have joined an experienced team with a successful track record. We have had a strong start to the year and I can’t wait to build on that by using my own experience to add value to our landowner clients.”
Ben Sinclair is now heading the department, taking over from Paul Bird, who will continue to oversee the valuations division.
Commenting on the new appointments, Ben, who joined Savills in 2016 as part of its graduate programme, said: “It’s great to have both Simon and Rebecca back in the Savills fold. They have a comprehensive knowledge of the county and wider region and bring a great deal of experience, which will be to the benefit of clients and team members alike.”
