Godwin Developments has secured outline planning permission for a mix of commercial uses at its 9.5-acre site in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Wisbech Gateway, near the A47, will have up to 60,000 sq ft of industrial, a 40,565 sq ft hotel,  petrol filling station and shop, drive-thru, a separate restaurant and car parking.

The area, around a mile and a half from Wisbech town centre, is a thriving business location with major companies including DHL, Nestle, and Travis Perkins nearby.

Simon Handslip, managing director of commercial development for Godwin, said: “We are really pleased to have secured outline planning consent for our commercial scheme in Wisbech which provides new opportunities for a range of occupiers.

“With its BREEAM Very Good credentials and prime location, it will suit roadside retail operators looking to capture custom from the high daily passing traffic as well as manufacturers and third-party logistics capitalising on its arterial location.”

Godwin and its agents, Alfred Bartlett from Ogle Property, John Maxey at Maxey Grounds and Julian Welch from Eddisons, welcome enquiries.
