An industrial unit in Bracknell could become a children’s indoor play space under plans submitted to the council.

Curly Pepper Trading has applied to Bracknell Forest Council for change of use of the vacant former House Hub unit at the Western Industrial Area so it can be used under its Jumpin Fun brand.

The 2,440 sq m site – Unit 2 at the Western Centre in Western Road – currently has B8 (warehouse) permission and Curly Pepper is seeking permission for Class E (leisure). A café is planned at first floor level.

Parking at front and rear of the site, which was vacated in September 2023, offers a total of 31 spaces.

The Jumpin Fun franchise effectively offers an elaborate bouncing castle. It is aimed at children although the facilities can be booked out for adults.

There are currently six around the country and the Bracknell venue is one of six more in the pipeline.

Planners at the Tyler Parkes Partnership are acting for Curly Pepper. Transport consultant is DTA.
