Ealing Council Planning Committee has approved two key amendments to the TfL development at Bollo Lane, Acton.

The approved amendments to the Bollo Lane Action development by TfL Landholdings bring several significant improvements to the project. Firstly, the increase in the number of dwellings from 424 to 455 within Phase 3 (Plots 2D-2F) addresses the growing demand for housing in the area, providing more opportunities for affordable and market-rate homes.

Additionally, the increase in business floorspace from 1,776sqm to 1,844sqm enhances the commercial viability of the development. This additional space supports local businesses and creates more job opportunities, contributing to the economic growth of the Acton area. The adjustments to the building footprints and heights, particularly in response to fire safety requirements, ensure that the development meets modern safety standards, providing a safer environment for residents and businesses alike.

The amendments also include improvements to the public realm, such as a new footway to Bollo Lane, a relocated bus stop, and a new pedestrian crossing. These changes enhance accessibility and connectivity, making it easier for residents and visitors to navigate the area. The inclusion of new open and amenity spaces further enriches the community environment, offering residents places for recreation and relaxation.

Overall, these amendments not only increase the scale and scope of the development but also improve its functionality, safety, and community integration, making it a more comprehensive and beneficial project for the Ealing area.
