Bargate Homes has submitted an outline planning application for 130 properties in Overton near Basingstoke.
The plans submitted to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council include a country park across much of the 19-hectare site which is off Sapley Lane.
Thew housebuilder says the location gives access to key local services, adhering to the 20-minute neighbourhood concept.
The homes are designed to be zero carbon ready and each will have an air source heat pump, solar panels and an EV charging point. Forty per cent of the homes will be affordable and will be delivered by Bargate’s parent company VIVID.
Managing director of Bargate Homes Mark White said: “We are pleased to have submitted an outline planning application for this site in Overton, which could become a very special new development.
“Located close to our now completed Seven Acres development, our proposals are designed to create a new neighbourhood and green space for the community of Overton. It will provide local residents with the opportunity to stay in the area and maintain all important friend and family networks.
“The new country park would be a fantastic asset for the community of Overton, as it will offer ample space for physical outdoor activities, connections to nature, an uplifting meeting place for residents, as well as educational opportunities for school children.”
