BBC Reporter

Laura Foster is an award-winning reporter and presenter and has worked at BBC News for over a decade. As a health and science specialist, she has reported on everything from missions to Mars to climate change to mental health – and was right at the front of the BBC’s reporting throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Laura has also presented a number of podcasts and radio shows – including Inside Health on BBC Radio 4. More recently, she has returned home to the East of England and can be seen and heard covering the biggest news stories across the region. In her spare time, Laura volunteers as a STEM ambassador and is passionate about having more young people understand the utter joy that is a career in STEM.

Matthew is the Founder and Managing Director of UK Property Forums. Established in 2004, UKPF enables conferences, events and networking opportunities across the Greater Thames Valley region including Oxford, Reading and Aylesbury. As part of the range of events which UKPF have created, he leads UK Prop Social, a networking club for 150+ members and also the Thames Valley offer at MIPIM UK and MIPIM Cannes, France. Having lived and studied in the Thames Valley, he is very informed about the region and passionate about the development of a group for all those involved in the Thames Valley property markets.

Although experienced in many sectors, John has become widely recognised for his expertise in Higher Education, Science & Veterinary projects completed across the East of England.

Chartered Practitioner providing independent strategic communication advice developing strategies for businesses shaping places or creating breakthrough products in the technology, housing, property and construction sectors. Emma has worked with some of the biggest regional developments, housing and construction projects and also in a national role at Homes England. She currently works with companies doing things differently, disrupting their market or launching game-changing products or services in these areas.

Mark has lived, worked and played in Cambridge and the East of England all his life. As a successful businessman, he was Chairman of a successful packaging group with the Head office based in Ely, which was subsequently sold to EQT Private Equity. He now concentrates on his property business which owns assets across the county and has interests in different businesses as an investor.

Will joined Paul Basham Associates in 2015, starting in their head office in Fareham before spending some time in the Oxford Office and moving across to open their Cambridge Office in January 2019. Will is responsible for preparing various studies and reports and overseeing and managing project teams to ensure our work is delivered to the highest quality and within the required timescales. He is also responsible for promoting the business throughout East Anglia and Essex.

Jonathan Martin

Jonathan has worked in the Voluntary Sector for over 30 years; most of that time has been spent at YMCA Trinity Group covering Cambridgeshire & Suffolk.

Having worked for two Government Departments, Jonathan joined the YMCA in a Housing Role. This specialised in accommodating 16-25 year olds with medium to high needs. It also involved a role on the YMCA’s National Housing & Property Committee. Following this, he took roles covering Youth Programmes, Health & Fitness, Operations and Development.

In 2005 he became CEO at YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, before leading the merger with YMCA Suffolk to form YMCA Trinity Group in 2017. Jonathan remains passionate about Children and Young People & about the role the VCS can play in supporting, enabling & inspiring them to reach their full potential.

Away from work he enjoys walking and is an avid reader. Mostly he enjoys leisure time with his family, including four grandchildren.

Jodie is a Transport Planner based at Stantec in Cambridge and is also the Lead LandAid Ambassador for the Eastern Region. As part of this role, Jodie is responsible for raising the profile of LandAid across the property industry, growing the network of Ambassadors across the UK and encouraging fundraising to help end youth homelessness. Through additional STEM work, Jodie demonstrates a true passion for the world of Transport Planning and inspiring the next generation of engineers and consultants, promoting the industry to wider audiences with a level of influence well beyond her years.
