Catesby Estates has submitted plans for up to 400 homes and community facilities on land at Hollands Farm, Bourne End.
A development brief for the site has been worked on by a liaison group involving Catesby Estates, Wooburn & Bourne End Parish Council, the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and ward councillors.
And work on the outline planning application, which has now been submitted to Buckinghamshire Council, went on alongside work on the brief.
David Morris, planning and operations director at Catesby Estates, said: “Whilst the application has been submitted ahead of the formal adoption of the development brief, the supplementary planning document is at an advanced stage and has undergone significant consultation from statutory consultees and the public over the last two years.”
“Catesby Estates will continue to work closely with the council and carefully consider the adoption of the development brief, and, where necessary, update the outline application to respond to any changes during the determination process.”
“We are pleased to be moving forward to the next stage in bringing this important allocation forward, and assisting the council in meeting its housing requirements, where there is a clear need for new homes, especially affordable housing.”
