Clara Robinson has been appointed assistant ecology consultant in Cambridge.
Hers is one of three appointments made by the planning, design and environmental consultancy to its ecology team across its London and Cambridge offices.
The others are Tanishia Gearing and Isabel Soane’s appointments as senior ecology consultants at the London office.
Clara joins from Cambridge Environmental Assessment where she was a consultant ecotoxicologist. She has a BSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia.
Lanpro’s expansion is driven by the legal requirement for development to provide a 10 per cent biodiversity uplift and the retention of work for some key clients. The number of ecologists across Lanpro’s London, Cambridge and Norwich offices has multiplied by a factor of seven in the last year alone.
Hannah Broughton, director of ecology at Lanpro, said, “We are delighted to welcome Isabel, Tanishia and Clara to Lanpro.
“As ecology becomes increasingly integral to planning applications, it’s an exciting time to be working in this sector. Furthermore, the calibre of these three new recruits is testament to the increased profile and importance of ecology as a career and as a discipline.”
