The Hill Group has secured planning permission for the third and final phase of its 1,391-unit Marleigh scheme on the eastern side of Cambridge. 

The housebuilder has won consent to deliver a the remaining 423 new homes which  will comprise a mix of apartments, terraced homes, semi-detached and detached houses, available for private sale, shared ownership and affordable rent.

Andy Hill, founder and chief executive of The Hill Group, said: “We are pleased with the positive outcome for the final phase of Marleigh, marking the culmination of our vision for a vibrant and inclusive urban village in Cambridge East.

“Since starting work onsite in 2018, we’ve built not just homes but a thriving community, complete with a popular primary school and village centre. Phase three continues our commitment to delivering a range of energy efficient, high-quality homes with something for everyone.”

Ian Fenn, partner at the scheme’s architects JTP, said: “This planning approval is a pivotal moment for Marleigh and a testament to the collaboration between JTP and The Hill Group.
