Five years after Evoke Transport first established itself in Reading, the team has celebrated the milestone with a 20-mile riverside walk for charity.

Managing director Richard Stacey took his team on a Goring to Henley hike along the Thames path in aid of Maggie’s Oxford Centre, a charity which provides free support to anyone suffering from cancer and their families.

Thanks to the September 2 event, the team has smashed its sponsorship target, raising a total of £2,550

Mr Stacey (pictured fourth from left) said: “What a week! I am immensely proud of what we have achieved in such a short space of time, we could not have done this without a fantastic team, past and present, and the support of our clients, contacts and friends in the industry. A big thank-you to all.

“I look forward to our next five years. The charity walk was a great way to recognise this and to raise money for a very important charity. A fun but tiring day. Sorry to The Proclaimers – but no, I wouldn’t walk 500 miles – and certainly not 500 more.”
