The development of 294 new homes for residents reached a milestone moment Friday  July 12.

The ‘topping out’ ceremony of Fulton & Fifth was marked with an event attended by Brent Council leader Muhammed Butt and developers Regal.

A landmark £85m partnership between Brent Council and Regal, was announced in June 2023, where the council purchased 294 units (roughly 40 per cent of the scheme). These homes will be offered as affordable new one to three-bedroom homes for local families.

The new, mixed-use development on the former Euro Car Parks site will provide 876 new homes, new independent cafés, creative workspaces, and new biodiverse green spaces, including a linear park. Residents will have private outdoor space and access to 5-star amenities inspired by the area’s buzzing sports and well-being scene.

Councillor Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council, said: “I am proud of how much progress has been made since work started on site. This milestone is a huge achievement that will bring us closer to providing much-needed, brand-new homes to Brent families in a couple of years’ time.

“Wembley Park is a thriving new neighbourhood, which has seen a lot of regeneration, so we are looking forward to welcoming new residents to the area soon.”

Jonathan Seal, Regal’s CEO, commented, “We are incredibly proud of this milestone in our partnership with Brent Council. Not only are we delivering new homes for people across the borough, but we’re one step closer to providing a new part of the neighbourhood for the community to enjoy.”

Planning was granted in March 2022, and the development is on track to be completed in 2026. The 294 homes will contribute to the council’s target of building 1,700 new council homes by 2028.
