Catalyst housing association has promoted Joe Marshall to managing director, new homes (counties).

Mr Marshall, who has been land & partnerships director since May 2019, takes over from Andrew Almond who has been interim managing director for the past year.

In his new role, Mr Marshall will oversee delivery of new homes across Catalyst’s counties region which includes the Home Counties but has a particular focus on the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.

He will help form and deliver Catalyst’s strategy to build more affordable housing.

Philip Jenkins, group development director, said, “I am delighted that Joe is taking on the counties MD role. Having worked with him closely since I joined Catalyst, he has consistently proved himself to be a dedicated leader, with a passion for developing genuinely affordable housing.

“It is particularly pleasing to promote from within as this demonstrates our commitment at Catalyst to enabling our talented workforce to progress.”

Mr Marshall said: “It is a really exciting time to be growing our business in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc and delivering more affordable homes.

“We know that there’s a real need for new homes people love across the South East, and Catalyst’s historic presence in the South East puts us in a good position to partner with other likeminded organisations and create new sustainable communities in the region.

“I am really pleased to be taking on this role and can’t wait to work with the team to build new affordable housing that we so desperately need.”
