Developers of a new business park coming to Bicester say it promises to give occupiers a competitive edge thanks to having its own power supply.
Work on the consented 48-acre park near Bicester Village, a joint venture between Perevil Securities and Sladen Estates, is expected to begin in Spring. The park will offer buildings ranging from 10,000 to 600,000 sq ft and has already attracted leading organisations in innovation, advanced engineering, deep tech, and new technologies.
Rachel Wood, managing director of Sladen Estates, says the development’s power and connectivity will present an advantage over rival schemes.
She said: “Bicester Arc offers a dedicated power supply of 13.7MVA, giving the site a significant competitive edge in the market. Combined with an excellent local workforce and housing supply, Bicester Arc is primed to deliver bespoke facilities for businesses seeking flexible, hybrid operational solutions.”
“We can accommodate everything from pure office buildings to hybrid mixed-use facilities, which are essential for modern businesses. The regional ecosystem has evolved, with numerous thriving clusters, each requiring its own unique operational space.
“Quality jobs are no longer confined to traditional office spaces but can be found across various types of buildings throughout the region. We see Bicester Arc as the premier location where companies can establish a purpose-built HQ or hybrid facility.”
White Commercial, which has expertise and strong ties to the automotive and technology sectors, has been appointed along with Knight Frank and CBRE.
Three major planning permissions have been secured so far, for a total of more than 600,000 sq ft. This includes detailed permission for a 62,000 sq ft headquarters office/laboratory building and 100,000 sq ft across two office and research and development buildings.
Each building will have access to an exclusive 15-acre eco-park for occupiers, which will feature biodiversity-rich environments and walking routes.
Ralph Jones, managing director of Peveril Securities, the property development division of Bowmer + Kirkland, said: “Bicester Arc presents an exciting opportunity for Oxfordshire’s business community and will appeal to a national and global market due to its excellent location, robust infrastructure, green surroundings and flexibility.
“We are ready to deliver a high-quality development that meets the needs of modern businesses. Our focus is on providing a space where companies can thrive, with the assurance that the development is fully equipped to support their ambitions from day one.”
