Reserved matters approval has been secured for the next 172 homes at Valley Park, Didcot.
Persimmon Homes Wessex was granted consent by Vale of White Horse District Council for the homes, 61 of which will be reserved for a local housing association.
Construction on the new properties at the ongoing 4,254-home development is likely to commence in a matter of weeks with the first occupations expected this year.
Persimmon Homes Wessex managing director Seb Spiller said: “Valley Park has been a great success story so far and we are making swift progress on delivering on our commitment to bring new housing and infrastructure to Didcot.
“Therefore, securing another reserved matters consent was an early Christmas present that gave local contractors and residents confidence that the progress on expanding Didcot in a sustainable and advantageous way will continue.
“As with previous phases, we have ensured our latest application will be well integrated into the wider development with strong links to community focal points, whilst continuing to deliver high-quality homes for our customers.”
