Plans are being drawn up for 220 homes on the edge of Banbury town centre.

Savills has submitted a screening opinion request to Cherwell District Council, on behalf of Trinity College, over the need for an environmental impact assessment for its plans for up to 220 units on a 13.57-hectare agricultural site, west of the B4100 Warwick Road.

The roughly square site, to the left of Warwick Road in Google image above, around two miles from the town centre, was last used for arable farming. It is next to two consented residential sites being delivered by Vistry Homes.

To the south, Vistry is developing 320 homes while it awaits a decision on its reserved matters application for 170 properties to the east.

The Trinity College scheme is being designed by Urban Design Studio.
