Plans for up to 230 homes in Twyford in Berkshire have been recommended for approval ahead of a meeting on Wednesday (June 12).

Wokingham Borough Council’s planning committee will consider plans by David Wilson Homes for a 16.19-hectare site off A4 New Bath Road, currently used for agriculture.

The site, to the north of the A4, just outside the main village, surrounds an area of small commercial buildings at Loddon Park Farm.

It is close to the Piggott School. Land to the north is a possible new site for Reading RAMS Rugby Club.

The scheme, which includes up to 40 per cent affordable homes, has evolved from an original plan for up to 220 homes, submitted in February 2019.

The team on the project includes Turley on planning, Mosaic architect, HDA as landscape architect, Thompson as environmental consultant and Vectos, part of SLR, on transport.
