Plans for a 29.4-hectare solar farm on agricultural farmland near Kingsclere have been recommended for approval.
Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council’s development management committee will consider the plans by AR Kingsclere, which were deferred at its August 6 meeting so that technical briefing could take place.
That was held on September 9 and now the scheme looks set to be approved at the committee’s October 8 meeting.
The site, at Stratton’s Farm, is around 1.1km north west of Kingsclere and 1.2km east of Ecchinswell.
Documents state the 23MW farm will operate for 40 years before being dismantled.
