An application for an 82-apartment affordable care home along with 14 market properties has been submitted for a site within the vast Kingsmere scheme in Bicester.

The site, known as Parcel R, is part of the phase two section of the wider development, currently under construction. A 60-bed extra care home already has outline consent within the original permission.

The new application by Preferred Homes and Countryside Properties to Cherwell District Council, seeks full permission for the larger care home and outline permission for the market housing on a site of just under one hectare. The care home will have a bistro on the ground floor.

The Corstorphine & Wright-designed scheme was planned by Rapleys LLP.
