Hayfield Homes have submitted a planning application to Bedford Borough Council for the proposed Hayfield Park development. The plans detail an 80-home site located off Stagsden Road, Bromham. Having purchased the land with pre-obtained outline planning consent, Hayfield now anticipates that full planning permission could be granted by February 2021.
The plans designate 30 percent of the homes to be affordable, whilst Hayfield also plans to install Air Source Heat pumps into every home to reduce carbon emissions. In addition, 56 of the open market homes will come equipped with underfloor heating. Assuming planning permission is granted, the development will constitute a mix of two, three- and four-bedroom luxury family homes.
There are also plans to create secondary access to the site for cyclists and pedestrians via New Road.
Mark Booth, Hayfield’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to have been selected for this prime development opportunity, as we have made a significant investment over the past 12 months to establish our premium brand product in Bedfordshire. This is our second major land acquisition in four weeks, which is a reflection of how the Hayfield team has defied the unprecedented challenges brought on by the global pandemic.”
Savills’ Cambridge has marketed the site on behalf of land promoter The Fairfield Partnership.
