T A Fisher is working on plans to create a floor for independent professionals from the property world to work from their own space and, at the same time, interact with others.
The developer and Thames Tap partner has permission to extend its Theale Court building – which incorporates a roof terrace – allowing for a reconfiguration of space which could give rise for the creation of a property hub.
The hub will be a place for industry specialists of different kinds to have both their own private space and meeting rooms, as well as an area to mingle.
Managing director John Fisher said: “We are thinking of somewhere for like-minded professionals, such as an architect, engineer, planner even a commercial agent and other property professionals, to work under one roof and benefit from the upside of working together, such as sharing ideas, networking, collaboration etc.”
He said with large firms possibly reviewing HR levels in the post-Covid era, there may be a number of people starting up on their own who may lack facilities such as adequate broadband and the right environment to develop a business and meet clients.
And the Theale High Street location with its own car park is seen as an additional benefit.
Mr Fisher added: “Theale’s attractive because it’s not a big place like Reading or Basingstoke. It works well, it’s small enough to be friendly and welcoming but, at the same time, it’s on M4 J12, with it’s own station and a good amenity offer.”
