Jaynic has sold a 13.84-acre site at Weaver’s View, Haverhill to Taylor Wimpey, with potential for up to 155 new homes, with a 30 per cent affordable allocation.
The site is situated on the western edge of Haverhill, forming a gateway site, with easy access to Cambridge on the A1307. It is the second Haverhill site Jaynic have sold to Taylor Wimpey, the first being the 150 unit ‘Arboretum’ scheme in 2014.
Haverhill’s location lends itself to be able to take advantage of Cambridge’s economy and the wider southern technology cluster, and consequently has a high level of out-commuters, causing a surge in housing demand due to it being more affordable.
The new homes at Weaver’s View would utilise this demand, aimed especially at first time buyers, but also with mass-market appeal from the M11 corridor and the wider area surrounding Cambridge.

Weaver’s View provides an attractive setting in a semi-rural location, with attractive views out to open countryside whilst benefiting from excellent nearby amenities and transport connections to surrounding regional centres, notably Cambridge to the north west.”

Cheffins and Cushman & Wakefield acted as agents for the sale of the site on behalf of Jaynic.
