Specialist commercial property and environmental law firm Sandstone Law celebrates its launch this month after a year in business.
The firm, which first emerged during lockdown in June 2021, is headed by managing partner Jan Matthews with a core team including partner Richard Smith (pictured) and senior commercial real estate consultant Hugh Blaza (who is also a Thames Tap consultant). They are supported by planning consultant Paul Semple.
Construction advice support is provided by construction lawyer Joanne Kelly and her team at London -based firm Memery Crystal.
Jan Matthews said: “We are thrilled at last to be officially launching Sandstone Law. In my role as managing partner, I will be responsible for business development and administrative management of the firm, while partner Richard Smith heads up and oversees the legal team, client relationships and our external network of legal specialists.
“With over 30 years of experience in advising businesses from a variety of sectors, Richard sets the highest standard of client care and brings a wealth of commercial experience.”
Mr Smith said: “We have noticed an increasing demand from clients for a more tailored approach in property development, planning and environmental law.
“Having listened to what our clients want from a trusted legal services provider, it became clear to us that launching a niche firm with a partner-led service was the obvious route to follow.
“We look forward to building on our successful first year and applying the highest standards of service in the advice we deliver to our clients.”
Friends and contacts will celebrate with Sandstone Law at a function on June 23.
