Property experts – including well-known names in the Thames Valley – have teamed up to provide a unique new service for the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector.
Reading-based Haslams Estate Agent, commercial agent Campbell Gordon and Camberley-based Sennen Property Management have joined Crossmark Developments and brand consultancy Urbane to create Mosaic Living to offer advisory, development and operational services to the BTR industry.
The end-to-end service is designed to help make BTR schemes successful through the collaboration of expertise. Acting in an advisory and consultancy capacity, Mosaic’s services cover planning, ESG, design, health & safety, building development and operation and management of properties across the UK.
Haslams chief operating officer Mike Shearn, who is one of the founders of Mosiac Living, said: “There are a lot people talking about Build-to-Rent but few have first-hand experience. Mosaic Living partners have successfully delivered BTR.
“Collectively we’ve developed £200 million of BTR assets and we’ve been recognised by CoStar as number one Investment Advisor in South East England in Q1, 2022 for one of the largest BTR acquisitions in the Thames Valley (a deal at Huntley Wharf – pictured).
“In addition we manage over 6,000 residential properties across 200 sites in the UK and we have created numerous engaging lifestyle and development brands that resonate with consumers.”
Haslams has also reported significant success at its Domain scheme in Weldale Street.
Mark Lewis, managing director of Crossmark Developments, said: “Mosaic Living is a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. Our clients value our development expertise and they’re constantly asking if we could provide more services.
“Under the umbrella of Mosaic Living we can now offer our clients end-to-end BTR services in collaboration with partners that we trust.”
Duncan Campbell, director at Campbell Gordon said: “Moasic Living gives us the ability to offer our clients a 360-degree BTR service, or any part of it that they require.
“Acting as the acquiring/investment agent we transacted three BTR projects recently, two in Reading and one in West London, and on each occasion our client had a need for different parts of the Mosaic Living offering.
“It’s why it’s so exciting to be part of Mosaic Living as we now have this root and branch capability to service the BTR investment market which is genuinely unique in the Thames Valley.”
