The last planning hurdle has been overcome before 317 homes can go ahead at Oxford North Canalside.
Oxford City Council’s planning committee approved the reserved matters application at its September 22 meeting to allow developer Thomas White Oxford (TWO) residential development partner The Hill Group to go ahead with the homes which will range from one-bedroom flats to five-bedroom houses.
The energy efficient properties, designed around central park, will include air source heat pumps and photovoltaic panels. There will be EV charging points, extensive cycle storage, 200 new trees and measures to reduce water consumption.
The Hill Group, which has been on site for more than a year, working on enabling infrastructure, will start work on the homes in Winter.
Andy Hill, chief executive at The Hill Group said: “This landmark project will also generate significant employment opportunities and we welcome applicants, particularly from the local area, who will benefit from our comprehensive training and development programmes.”
