Witney-based planning consultancy Edgars has appointed Katie Dickson as associate to spearhead its services to the heritage sector.
Katie has more than 10 years public and local authority experience, including spells with three London boroughs, followed by seven years as a freelance heritage consultant, where she worked alongside the Edgars planning team.
In her new role she will lead the negotiation of listed building consent applications, provide guidance on building conservation, draft heritage statements and formulating strategies for the management of construction and restoration projects on heritage sites.
Katie said: “After having spent the past few years working as an independent consultant, I am delighted to be able to progress my career as part of such a dynamic and dedicated team. Their collaborative, supportive and totally client focussed approach, and exciting and challenging portfolio of projects have made joining Edgars a very easy decision for me to make.”
Edgars Director Jayne Norris said: “With the continued growth of our business and the ever-increasing need for heritage reporting on many of our projects, it now makes perfect sense to diversify the business by extending our in-house services into this important sector.
“Katie’s commercial, local authority and private sector background will bring invaluable insights. Having worked with Katie for many years, we know that her positive, tenacious, and always positive approach, combined with genuine care for clients aligns very much with our own values. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her join the team.”
