Plans have been submitted for 180 homes in Benson.
Elivia Homes has applied to South Oxfordshire District Council, via Waslingham Planning, for outline permission to develop a 7.9-hectare agricultural site to the south of Watlington Road in the north east of the village.
Forty per cent of the homes will be affordable.
The site, formerly used for grazing cattle, is neither Green Belt nor in a conservation area or area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB).
However an application for 120 homes on the site was refused in 2017 and lost on appeal in 2018. One of the reasons was its proximity to an AONB.
The team on the project includes edge urban design and Middlemarch Environmental.
