New designs for improvements to Northolt have been created, and Ealing Council is inviting residents and businesses to share their views.

The council is asking for feedback on the plans as part of its Visions for Northolt scheme by Monday, 8 May. This community-led regeneration and engagement programme aims to ensure that future investment in Northolt reflects the needs and wants of the local community.

Ealing Council and Transport for London secured more than £ 7.2 million in funding for roads, pavements and travel improvements to benefit all road users, including cyclists and pedestrians.

Hundreds of residents and businesses have already told the council how they would like to see the money spent, including by building wider pavements, more pedestrian crossings, additional bicycle lanes and extra trees. Considering this, plans for Ealing Road and Kensington Road were consulted last year, and now initial designs have been developed for Mandeville Road and Church Road.

Councillor Deirdre Costigan, deputy leader and cabinet member for climate action, said: “We have had an encouraging response to the plans so far, so please take a moment to share your views with us and help us to make Northolt a better place for everyone. Your views matter to us and will inform our decisions.

“We’ve taken on board your feedback and had some brilliant suggestions for improvements. Ealing Council will continue to put residents’ views firmly at the heart of all of our plans.”

There are several ways to be involved:

• Visit the public exhibition and leave your comments at Northolt Leisure Centre Library, Eastcote Lane North, Northolt, UB5 4AB. Displays are available from Monday to Saturday, 12-5 pm.

 •Northolt Library in Church Road, Northolt, UB5 5AG is open Mondays from 10 am-5 pm, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10 am-7 pm, Fridays 10 am-5 pm and Saturdays from 10 am-5 pm.

 •A drop-in session will be held at Islip Manor Community Centre on Wednesday 5 April, 11 am-1pm or at Northala Fields Café on Saturday, 15 April (9-11 am)
