A £50 million programme of improvements at Foundation Park in Maidenhead has been approved.
Planning consultancy Lichfields secured permission from the Royal Borough on behalf of FPM Investments Sarl (managed by JP Morgan) for the development which involves demolition of three buildings and their replacement with three new ones.
The scheme also includes a new central hub building, pedestrianised zones, a new car park and landscaping.
The development will create a total 8,060 sq m floorspace, an increase of 28 per cent. Roof terraces are proposed on all four new buildings.
Sarah Moorhouse, associate director for Lichfields’ Thames Valley office, said: “We are pleased to see the council embrace this exciting development which will help complete the transformation of Foundation Park.
“The development will lead to the creation of a campus environment, with an emphasis on creating a high-quality public realm to replace the existing fragmented layout, dominated by cars and roads.”
It is the latest of a series of developments and refurbishments at Foundation Park.
