Plans for a 34,000 sq ft distribution building have been unanimously approved for a Green Belt site in Slough.
DV4 Coltham’s application to redevelop its former waste recycling site in Bath Road, Poyle was approved by Slough Borough Council’s planning committee on November 29.
The meeting heard from the applicant that the scheme would be an environmental improvement to having a recycling centre there and more than 70 full time jobs would be created, along with 100 indirect roles.
DV4 Coltham already has permission for a new recycling centre on the site but has an industrial/logistics occupier lined up for the new proposal.
As well as being in the Green Belt, the site is part of a strategic gap but councillors offered no opposition.
The new warehouse will have 6,000 sq ft of offices.
