New leases totalling almost 22,000 sq ft have been announced by AshbyCapital at its The Future Works building in Slough.
Insurance business Likewize has taken 14,797 sq ft on the third floor while Tesco Mobile has taken 7,004 sq ft of AshbyCapital’s plug & play space on the second floor.
The deals, along with last year’s letting of 24, 103 sq ft to Plus X Innovation, brings the total leased during 2023 to 45,904 sq ft in the 100,000 sq ft building.
Tom Smithers, property director of AshbyCapital, said: “Signing two further lettings at The Future Works completed a successful 2023 for the building, with deals for half of the space agreed in the second half of the year.
“We are delighted that Tesco Mobile will be taking advantage of our plug-and-play workspace, which meets the growing trend towards flexibility and enables occupiers to focus on their business rather than arranging an office fit-out.
“Employees of Tesco Mobile and Likewize will be able to enjoy first-rate amenities that promote wellness and collaboration, from our communal roof terrace to the exciting new programme of events that Plus X Innovation will be running.
“Likewize’s selection of The Future Works and Slough for its new home, joining the highest concentration of global headquarters in the UK outside London, demonstrates Slough’s continued appeal as a business destination. Interest in remaining floors is strong and we look forward to welcoming further businesses here.”
The BREEAM Excellent building is WiredCertified Platinum for its connectivity and digital infrastructure and was awarded the UK’s first Platinum AirScore rating for indoor air quality.
There remains 44,382 sq ft available on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors, through Hollis Hockley and CBRE, who represented AshbyCapital on the Likewize and Tesco Mobile transactions. Tesco Mobile was represented by Cluttons, and Likewize was represented by Knight Frank.
