Revised plans have been submitted for 10 small commercial units close to Banbury railway station.
E5 Commercial has applied to Cherwell District Council to build the scheme on a 0.3-hectare site on the south eastern edge of the town centre, off Higham Way. The land is part of a former concrete works, which had previously been railway sidings.
The submission follows the refusal by councillors of a previous scheme in May. Discussions with officers since then have led to the removal of use class B2 (general industrial) from the scheme, provision of a noise assessment and some alterations to scale.
The use classes now proposed are B8 (storage & distribution) and office, R&D and industrial process uses under Eg(i), Eg(ii) and Eg(iii).
The 10 units, totalling 929 sq m will be built in three blocks and have 31 parking spaces.
The team on the project includes Carney Sweeney on planning, Building Design Group on architecture and Exigo on transport.
