Cain International and Olympian Homes has secured Gateway 2 approval for what is set to become Bristol’s tallest building.
Located in Haymarket, Bristol, at St James House, the scheme comprises 442 purpose-built student accommodation units and 150 co-living units, which will span two towers of 28 and 18 storeys respectively.
Construction is set to start imminently, with completion expected by mid-2028.
Once complete, it is expected the development will have a gross development value in excess of £200 million.
Richard Goodwin, construction director at Olympian, said: “Having run this application through the newly-formed innovation unit, BSR performance was greatly improved and the whole process was achieved in 14 weeks.
“This is testament to the working relationship of the whole team.”
Mark Slatter, Olympian chairman, added: “Olympian Homes continues to advance its growth strategy despite a challenging market and remained focused on the acquisition and redevelopment of high quality urban sites.”
