Sinewave, an electrical infrastructure specialist, has been recertified as a B Corp.
The Swindon based firm achieved an increased score of 99.3, up from 89.8 at its previous assessment.
Awarded by B Lab to companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, a score of 80 is required to qualify.
The accreditation makes Sinewave the only B Corp-certified independent connection provider (ICP) qualified to install and manage electricity network connections.
Central to Sinewave’s sustainability strategy has been the recent launch of Sinewave Switch, a bespoke platform that gives customers visibility of their projects’ carbon footprints and supports more responsible design, materials, and transport decisions.
Adam Woodey, chief executive of Sinewave, said: “Our B Corp recertification and score reflect the hard work of our whole team and, together with our Sunday Times fastest-growing private companies award, show that our growth won’t come at the cost of sustainability.
“As the UK accelerates its build-out of energy infrastructure to meet net zero targets and clean power goals, it’s never been more important for businesses like ours to lead by example in how we operate, and how we help our customers reduce their emissions in the process.”
