Plans for up to 235 homes in Bracknell Forest go before councillors on March 19 with a recommendation for approval.

Bracknell Forest Council’s planning committee deferred outline plans by Jordan Construction to develop six fields of land used for agricultural and equine purposes, totalling 14.62 hectares at Hayley Green, north of Forest Road, at its January 15 meeting.

The deferral was to allow amendments to access to the development and to allow for any potential call in by the Secretary Of State.

The council has received confirmation that there will be no call-in and a series of amendments to the scheme’s access have been proposed in the revised proposals.

They include:

  • Speed cushions and a chicane in the northern section of Hayley Green.
  • Speed limit reduction in Hayley Green to 20mph.
  • Eight new car parking spaces close to Paws Nursery.
  • Speed cushions to replace a proposed chicane in Forest Road

The proposed scheme includes homes of up to four bedrooms, an affordable homes proportion of 35 per cent and 7.6 hectares of open space including a play area.

The team on the project includes Boyer on planning and masterplanning, HDA on arboriculture and ecology and Stantec on transport, drainage and utilities.
