Property professionals from across the Thames Valley came together at Zero Degrees in Reading on 17 June for a quiz night, organised by Savills Reading to raise funds for Launchpad, Reading’s leading homelessness prevention charity.

Around 50 guests with teams from local firms including Blandy & Blandy, Bellway, Berkeley Homes, Gleeson, Handelsbanken, Gateley, iB Architects, I-Transport, Greencore, Field Seymour Parkes joined Savills to compete in the high-octane event, which was hosted by our managing director, Matthew Battle.

After a closely fought contest, the Launchpad team emerged victorious, with Gateley securing second place.

Guests took part in a fundraising raffle which featured prizes donated by local businesses and partners, including Reading Football Club tickets, an Englefield fishing pass, Topgolf vouchers, a round of golf at Studley Wood, a Zero Degrees voucher and a Flight Club Reading voucher.

The event, which Savills hosts every year as part of a wider programme of fundraising for Launchpad, which began as a soup kitchen founded by University of Reading students in 1979 and today provides a holistic service for people in Reading who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

This year’s event raised £1,845, which brings the total Savills Reading has raised for Launchpad since 2021 to over £10,000.
