Henry Boot, via its development arm HBD, has secured funding for the £95 million initial phase of the Cheltenham Golden Valley cyber campus, which is expected to cost £1bn over all phases.

The initial phase , which saw approval earlier this year, will be delivered by Bowmer & Kirkland, and will include the 160,000 sq ft IDEA innovation centre, the ROUTER transport hub, and supporting infrastructure.

The IDEA innovation centre is in high demand, with 68 per cent of the space pre-let or under offer.

Funding was supplied by private investors, as well as Cheltenham Borough Council.

The overall project will span 1mn sq ft, providing commercial space across cyber and tech industries, as well as up to 443 homes.

Phase two is currently being prepared by HBD, which will comprise 188,000 sq ft of commercial space for national security businesses.
