On Monday 2 November, local residents are invited to a public consultation on the Green Lane Meadows South proposals at Farnham Rugby Club, from 4pm to 8pm, where they can meet the project team, view plans in detail and raise questions or concerns directly with the developer and specialists in planning, architecture, highways and transport, flooding and drainage, and landscape design.
The scheme for land west of Green Lane at Badshot Lea includes 50 homes: 17 residential houses, 12 retirement bungalows, 20 retirement apartments, and one warden bungalow, alongside a separate 70-bed care home. Thirty per cent of the residential element would be affordable housing. The wider development also proposes substantial green and landscaped areas, wildflower planting, a pond, and new and enhanced habitats.
For later-living residents, the plans include recreational facilities such as tennis and bowls to encourage active living, social interaction and community. The proposals are described as part of a “Local Life. Later Life.” approach, combining homes, care, leisure and landscaped surroundings. The proposals also include a new all-weather rugby pitch for Farnham Rugby Club, intended to provide reliable year-round training and match facilities.
Lamron Securities representative Malcolm McPhail said the company recognises strong local interest and wants to continue face-to-face discussions, responding to feedback already raised through the planning process and the wider community. Residents can also submit questions in advance via www.greenlanemeadowssouth.co.uk, helping the team prepare relevant information for the event.
The consultation is open to all, and attendees may arrive at any time during the session. The outline planning application reference is WA/2026/01125 and can also be viewed on Waverley Borough Council’s planning portal.
