Plans for 550 homes in Gorleston in Norfolk have been revealed in a screening request to Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

Norfolk County Council-owned Repton Homes has asked, via Bidwells, if an environmental impact assessment is required for its plans for the homes which include market, affordable and around 112 care/retirement units on a 25-hectare site south of Links Road and east of Lowestoft Road.

Plans also include proposals for 375 sq m of commercial, business and service units (Class E) and local community and learning space (Class F).

A previous application for 240 homes, a foodstore and a 60-bed ‘housing-with-care’ scheme, was withdrawn.
