The freehold of a four-storey town centre building in Staines is up for auction with a guide price of £1.6 million.
Acuitus will auction the 6,000 sq ft property at 69-71 High Street, which is currently let to Barclays Bank on a recently-renewed 10-year lease, generating £140,000 in annual rent.
The building is close to the Elmsleigh and Two Rivers shopping centres and the site of a market which is held three days a week.
Charlie Powter, director of Acuitus, said: “The recently renewed lease by Barclays Bank is an important indicator for any property investor, showing the bank’s commitment to stay on Staines High Street for now with the added prospect of possible residential re-development in the longer term.
“The freehold interest’s strong revenue stream will certainly be immediately attractive for investors.”
The auction will take place on May 15 at 1pm and will be broadcast via livestream on the Acuitus website with bidding online, by telephone and by proxy.
