As a valued member of the Oxfordshire property family, we would like to send our deepest thoughts and condolences to Bicester Motion and the Oxfordshire Fire Service after the incredibly tragic loss of three lives on Thursday.
Bicester Motion has been at the heart of our Oxfordshire events. Post-Covid we needed a suitable place for a large gathering and we worked with the team at the former RAF base to hold our biggest event – OxPropFest – in one of the aircraft hangars.
So for us – and doubtless many of our members and partners – the events of last Thursday would have been a particular shock.
Bicester Motion is a unique venue where, instead of large scale redevelopment, the team are turning the disused site into something special, not just a motor and aviation cluster, but an attraction in its own right.
We send all those involved with this tragic event our best wishes in the difficult days ahead.
