A screening request has revealed details of the proposed expansion of Enstone Business Park in Oxfordshire.

Under the plans, more than 64, 300 sq m of flexible employment space within use classes B2 (general industry), B8 (storage and distribution) and/or E(g)ii and iii (R&D and light industrial) will be added to the park in Chipping Norton. An indicative masterplan shows almost 30 buildings.

Edgars, on behalf of Leven Holdings, has submitted the request to West Oxfordshire District Council over the need for an environmental impact assessment for the outline application it plans to submit.

The 28.2-hectare site, which is to the west of the 10-hectare business park, is a vacant area, including a number of buildings, once used for the production, storage and distribution of fertiliser, compost and play sand. It includes around 11 hectares of farmland.

The park is close to the site of the consented Mullin Automotive Museum.

As well as Edgars on planning, Savills is working on heritage of the site while Spratley & Partners is on architecture and masterplanning and DevComms is looking after public engagement.
