The latest development in Wokingham’s town centre regeneration has been completed.
Representatives from Feltham Construction joined councillors to mark the completion of Carnival Place, a mix of 55 one and two-bedroom flats opposite the Carnival Hub in Wellington Road.
It is the newest in a long line of leisure provision, commercial units and parking which have been provided in the town since work began in 2010.
The homes are now for sale on the open market through local agent Hat and Home.
Cllr Stephen Conway, leader of the council and executive member for housing, partnerships and the Local Plan (pictured at front), said: “The completion of Carnival Place marks a significant milestone in our town centre regeneration journey.
“These high-quality, energy-efficient homes not only reflect our commitment to sustainable development but also provide much-needed housing in the heart of Wokingham.
“Despite the challenges faced along the way, I’m proud of the resilience shown by our team and partners to deliver a scheme that complements the success of the Carnival Hub and enhances our vibrant community.”
Some final landscaping work will complete the scheme in the next few months.
