abrdn Standard Investments has submitted a scoping request over its plans for hundreds of flats at Forbury Retail Park in Reading.
Its request to Reading Borough Council, produced by Stantec, over the need for an environmental impact assessment, reveals the proposal for Kings Meadow View is an outline bid for up to 820, one, two and three bedroom flats and 5,500 sq m of commercial uses under Class E.
The scheme for the 2.65-hectare site includes pedestrian and vehicle routes, hard and soft landscaping, basement car parking for up 200 cars and storage for 860 bikes.
The original proposals envisaged up to 900 flats and between 2,000 and 2,500 sq m of commercial space.
