A 16th Century pub, restaurant and hotel in Alconbury has gone up for sale with Christie & Co.
The Manor, a Grade II-listed building in Chapel Street in the Cambridgeshire village, boasts a pub, seven en-suite rooms above and a beer garden. Its location brings it within reach of the new Universal Studios development in Bedford.
In a statement, owners Brian and Julie Kitson said: “The Manor is a well-established family-run business, which has continued to grow over the past 20 years. We are well-known locally and further afield for our diverse menu that goes beyond traditional pub food. We have built our success on our continued reputation for quality and service.
“Located close to the expanding Alconbury Weald and potential new train station, the area is rapidly developing, bring new opportunities and a growing customer base.”
Hugo Fairbanks Weston, business agent – pubs & restaurants for Christie & Co, who is managing the sale, said: “We expect to receive a lot of interest in this opportunity, given its well-connected location, letting accommodation, and exciting potential to increase trade.
“The Manor would be well-suited to regional multi-site operators as well as first-time buyers who can build on its established reputation as a destination pub.”
Asking price is £595,000.
