Bicester Motion has won approval for its plans to restore and regenerate 100-year-old office buildings.
Buildings 146/147, the former Station Offices at the gateway to the park’s Technical Site, will be converted into 9,536 sq ft of HQ workspace, designed for motorsport and automotive mobility led brands.
The neo-Georgian buildings were used for key operational and administrative functions.
Centenary celebration
Daniel Geoghegan, chief executive officer, Bicester Motion, stated: “This year we are proud to be celebrating the Technical Site’s centenary which includes the former Station Offices. Cherwell District Council’s approval of our plans to renovate and redevelop Buildings 146/147 marks a significant step towards a lasting future for this heritage asset.
“This project will respectfully maintain the original exterior as the gateway to our estate while enhancing the commercial space we have available.
“As we continue to draw in a vibrant community of innovative automotive and aviation brands, this project will ensure we continue to offer flexible, prominent and outstanding contemporary HQ spaces to help them discover and grow. My thanks go to our property team and our expert consultants for their work on this project.”
