Atkins and its sister practice Faithful+Gould are to move their combined Eynsham office to a new site at the very centre of Oxford.
Sixty engineers, cost consultants, project managers and architects from the two firms, both part of the SNC-Lavalin Group, will relocate to One St Aldates, part of the town hall building.
The firms, which work with Oxfordshire County Council, Oxford City Council and the University of Oxford, have been at the Eynsham base, one of the group’s largest in the South East, for 28 years. The new city centre office opens on December 14.
Alan Jarvie, sector director at Atkins, said: “This move will give our staff the flexibility to work from both home and the office, with agile working desks available when people need them. With several major projects ongoing in the area, including Oxford Station masterplan and East West Rail, it is essential that our teams remain located at the heart of the city, close to our clients.”
Jenny Beilby, regional director at Faithful+Gould, said: “This move reinforces our commitment to having a strong presence in Oxford. We are building on our current projects here and want our people to remain at the heart of the city’s growth and resilience, helping clients to accelerate delivery and connect with communities across the region.”
