Plans have been submitted to redevelop part of Monument Business Park in South Oxfordshire, adding 12,726 sq m of new commercial space.
Owner Wulff Capital has applied to demolish several buildings on the 8.4-hectare park, which is north east of Chalgrove, and replace them with the new space designed for use classes E(g)(ii) (R&D) E(g)(iii) (light industrial), B2 (general industrial) and B8 (storage & distribution).
The hybrid application is designed for a phased redevelopment of 3.6 hectares of the site. There are currently around 80 businesses operating at the park involved in sectors including industrial, storage, office, leisure, food production and medical.
Phase one comprises full permission for four new buildings, while phases two and three comprise outline permission for 8,500 sq m of new space.
The application’s planning statement concludes: “In total, the development seeks to deliver up to c.12,726 sq m of new commercial floorspace at Monument Business Park as part of a comprehensive redevelopment proposal, designed to generate significant economic opportunities within an established, allocated employment site.”
The team on the project includes Twenty5 on planning, IMA on architecture and KMC on transport planning.
