LandAid, the property industry charity and UKPF East Prop Awards charity partner, is calling on property professionals and businesses across Cambridge to join the 2026 LandAid SleepOut.
The national fundraising event supports young people facing homelessness. This year, the Cambridge SleepOut will be sponsorsed by Stantec and take place at the Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club (CURUFC). The overarching UK-wide initiative aims to raise more than £900,000 and involve 15,00 participants across eight cities.
Now in its seventh year, the LandAid SleepOut brings together hundreds of people from across the property sector to give up their beds for one night and raise funds to support young people who are homeless or at risk. In 2025, the SleepOut raised over £646,000, with 1,200 participants taking part in locations including Cambridge, London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
By signing up to take part in the Cambridge event, local professionals will be joining a growing national movement committed to making a tangible difference. All funds raised will support local and national charities that provide emergency accommodation, support services, and long-term housing for young people.
According to recent figures, more than 118,000 young people in the UK approached their local authority for homelessness support last year. LandAid works to fund projects that provide safe, secure and suitable accommodation, and the SleepOut is one of its key annual fundraising events.
Paul Morrish, chief executive of LandAid, said: “No young person should ever have to face homelessness – and no industry is better placed than ours to do something about it. The LandAid SleepOut is a powerful way to come together, take action, and show what this sector can achieve. We hope the Cambridge property industry will step up, get involved, and help create real change.”
